I typically paint with casein on board. I layer textures down first, sometimes I scrape into the surface. The final piece is a richly colored and textured surface. Casein is a milk based paint that has no toxins. It is water based but does become permanent within a couple weeks of drying. Casein is basically old fashioned milk paint accept you can buy it in a tube.

Juliann Jones

Currently prefers working with throw away materials such as aluminum and tin cans, glass and the occasional thrift store find to create sculpture and wall pieces. She also may use found garbage such as metals, fencing, hubcaps, anything that has sculptural value. She makes her home in Livingston Montana with her husband Rainer Krapf and 5 cats, 2 dogs, 2 cockatiels and an aquatic turtle named Mac.

Juliann had a shop on Main Street of Livingston Montana for nearly a decade where she sold mostly cards that she produced from her hundreds of drawings but also sold her paintings and some miscellaneous hand made items.

She will still paint, especially if someone wants her to do a custom work. She loves doing pet portraits and when she paints by choice, she paints about her awe of nature and ecology.

Please visit my store at zazzle.com. Many of my painting and drawing images are available as posters, t-shirts(you pick style and color), ties, cards, aprons, magnets. Come on, visit zazzle.com/1oojoj

Jones made this license plate for Montana Spay & Neuter Task Force. If you live in Montana just go down to your local Motor Vehicle Registration office. Purchase the plate for $20 and that money goes to help retard the population of homeless animals in Montana. Please visit mtspayneutertaskforce.org

This is Juliann. She did NOT make this sculpture- it is however, Rainer and Juliann’s living room furniture.
