Who knew a $17 pop rivet gun could change sooooo much? I love working with garbage. In most of my pieces everything is garbage. There is an exception with the sculptures which stand on a base. The base itself is scrap pieces of rigid insulation from construction sites but I cover it with a thin coat of concrete.

This is my first wall piece. Sunburst One. It is a little over 3 feet across. It took a lot of work. Everything is garbage except the pop rivets used to join the pieces.
Can Dog- I loved making this and will be making many more animals in the months to come.

This is a hubcap covered in a 3d spiral of scraps of copper and metal and wire. I also used miscellaneous pieces of garbage. The piece is part of a project called Landfill Art. http:www.landfillart.org
It is a project implemented by an artist named Ken Marquis who decided to take 1000 hubcaps from a landfill and have artists make them into art. Please check his project out: www.landfillart.org. There are so many very cool hubcaps.
These are pieces I made from scrap pieces of copper purchased from a copper supply company. I colored the copper by soaking them in various potions.
Currently I am working with garbage such as tin cans, thrift store items, plastics, and various recycled objects to make sculpture and wall pieces. As soon as I finish some I will post photos. My favorite materials are aluminum cans, tin cans and bottles.
