I love doing pet portraits. I have finished many successful portraits
from photographs. To work this way I need several different views of the
pet so that I know what the animal looks like from all sides- and I also
need to know a little bit about its' personality and how/where it lives.
Portraits start and 200.00 for an 8 x 10 and go up from there. If you
want a small drawing, like the cards I do, those are 150.00 for a 4 x 6
and cards can be made from those. Normally cards are not made from
larger paintings because of size restraints on the reproduction process.
I start pet portraits with half of the total painting price down and the
other half on completion.
